AMES, Iowa (April 7, 2021) – Twenty-six county fair boards across Iowa and one in Minnesota were recently awarded a total of $13,000 in grants from Landus.

“Landus is proud to support county fair boards across our territory,” said Matt Carstens, CEO of Landus. “Many of our farmer-owners and customers, employees and their families are involved in the fair in some way. They play an important role in our communities because they focus on rural youth development and agricultural advancement.”

The farmer-owned cooperative started the Core Grant program four years ago as part of a quarterly philanthropy focus. This year 96 percent of the fair boards in the Landus business territory participated in this program.

“We remain committed to our communities and value the hard work of county fair board members who take the time to plan a safe, fun, and educational fair experience for the benefit of their communities," said Sarah Bunge, who oversees the donation program at Landus.
