Landus Cooperative Launches Local Corn Brand Named “Armor” for 2020 Planting

After decades of success with cooperative-branded soybeans, geo-targeted corn line introduced

Farmer-owned cooperative, Landus Cooperative, this week announced it is launching a corn hybrid line-up selected for local soils by its own field agronomists. Armor® branded corn is now available for planting in 2020 and showcased in the cooperative’s plots across 26 counties in Iowa.

“After more than three decades of success with our cooperative-selected and branded AcreEdge® soybeans, we’re expanding our tagline of ‘Your Seed. Your Success.’ into our corn offerings,” explained Tim Unruh, Chief Agronomy Officer at Landus Cooperative. “As a cooperative, our job is to advocate for our members; we’re leveraging our boots-on-the-ground knowledge of local soil, weather and growing season to bring geo-targeted genetics designed for yield to our region.”

Armor, with maturities from 108-114 days, offers high performance on rotated acres and compliments the productivity seen in the company’s DeKalb branded products. The Armor seed guide is available here.

In conjunction with Land O’ Lakes/Winfield United, Armor branded corn has three years of plot data available and can be found in Landus Cooperative plots.
