Landus Cooperative Gives Back to Local County Fair Boards

Twenty-seven county fair boards across Iowa were recently awarded $13,500 in grants from Landus Cooperative.

“Landus is proud to support county fair boards across our territory,” said Matt Carstens, CEO of Landus Cooperative. “Many of our farmer-members and customers, employees and their families are involved in the fair in some way. They play an important role in our communities because they focus on rural youth development and agricultural advancement.”

The farmer-owned cooperative started the Core Grant program three years ago as part of a quarterly philanthropy focus. This year 100% of the fair boards in Landus Cooperative’s business territory participated in this program.

“We remain committed to our communities, especially in these times. We value the hard work of county fair board members who take the time to plan a safe, fun, and educational fair experience for our employees, farmer-members and customers, and community members," said Alyssa Speake, communications specialist who oversees the donation process at Landus Cooperative.
