Landus Cooperative Gives Back to County Fair Boards

15 county fair boards receive a Core Grant from Landus Cooperative

AMES, Iowa (May 9, 2017) – Fifteen county fair boards across Iowa were recently awarded nearly $8,000 in grants from Landus Cooperative in partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation.

“Landus Cooperative is proud to support organizations who focus on rural youth development and agricultural advancement,” said Milan Kucerak, CEO of Landus Cooperative. “We are pleased to partner with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation to provide an impactful grant for the county fair boards.”

Landus Cooperative launched its Core Grant program earlier this year as part of a quarterly philanthropy focus. With matching funds from Land O’ Lakes, the farmer-owned cooperative awarded $500 to fifteen fair boards in the Landus Cooperative service area who completed the application before the deadline. Funds will be used for various fair activities from ribbons, trophies, judges, to building repairs and maintenance.

The underlying purpose is to support the youth of the county in their knowledge and interest in agriculture through fair involvement.
