“Supporting fire and rescue crews is something Landus Cooperative takes pride in,” said Milan Kucerak, CEO of Landus Cooperative. “Many of our employees and farmer-members are part of these safety and emergency response crews. Fire and rescue crews play a crucial role in our rural communities and to the cooperative itself.”

The farmer-owned cooperative announced the Core Grant program at the beginning of last year as part of a quarterly philanthropy focus. With this grant, 48 fire and rescue crews will be able to continue to update and improve their equipment and services to respond to emergencies in their community and surrounding areas.

“We appreciate the dedication of these crews to the safety and protection of our employees, farmer-members, and community members,” said Alyssa Hemesath, communications specialist who oversees the donation process at Landus Cooperative.
