County 4-H programs receive $1,000 to help off-set costs and enhance youth programs
AMES, Iowa (August 30, 2019) – Landus Cooperative awarded $22,000 as part of their quarterly Core Grant program. Twenty-two county 4-H programs across Iowa received $1,000 each from the cooperative.
“As a cooperative, we are proud to support our community through the county 4-H programs,” said Milan Kucerak, CEO of Landus Cooperative. “Many of our farmer-members, employees and their families are involved in 4-H. Those programs play an important role in our rural communities because they focus on rural youth development and agricultural advancement.”
With this contribution, county programs will be able to enhance the valuable learning experiences offered to area youth. Over 80% of the counties in which the cooperative does business participated in the 2019 Core Grant program.
