Bean harvest is again underway. With Landus Cooperative’s size and scope we are positioned to help you manage your bean quality situation.
Our locations are working together to understand what levels of moisture and damage we can accept as a company. We are evaluating the situation daily. Please communicate with your location manager or GMA on what you’re seeing in the fields for damage and moisture.
In Ralston (where most of our beans go directly to SoyPlus processing) at this time, we have a 5% limit on damage. The 14% limit on moisture remains in place.
Please continue to share with us your operating hours so we can determine how late our locations will stay open. We encourage you to use the app to check location hours and view scale-to-scale times.
If you have a contract set up for October delivery, we define that as “during harvest.”
We will work with our customers selling for harvest delivery, especially since Mother Nature has thrown us some unexpected weather.
