Employee Spotlight - Jacob Clark

From coach to pool player and serial volunteer to solution architect, Jacob Clark wears many hats.

Starting out his post-college career, Clark worked in the healthcare industry learning about all areas of Information Technology. This knowledge prepared him for his now fourteen year-long career at Landus Cooperative. “My eyes were really opened up when I started to see all the different facets that technology touched,” Clark mentioned. 

Throughout his time at Landus Cooperative, Clark has held the roles of Senior Technology Specialist, Senior Technology Specialist - Cyber Security, Infrastructure Lead, and now Solutions Architect, Network: Cybersecurity. What this means is he ensures reliable, secure, and available network and information systems infrastructure to all locations.

With new technologies continuously being developed, keeping everything current is not an easy task, but this is Clark’s favorite part of his job.

“I am always learning new technology and am given the opportunity to help implement it,” he expressed, “The prevalence of cyber-attacks is a big thing that has changed. We are now focusing much more on protections than in the past and continuing to innovate.” He and his teamwork to keep the locations up-to-date and make sure they have all the technology they need to be a reliable source for customers. 

This change is what keeps Clark’s job exciting.

“Just when you think you’re finished, there is another project or opportunity to challenge you once again,” he said.

When job seekers ask him for advice, Clark’s response is, “Working hard and showing desire to grow in your field of expertise will result in opportunity involvement. Opportunities are given to people who are hungry for growth. Anywhere I go, they know I work with technology.”
