Beans down 1

Good morning!

The May corn contract closed ¼ cent lower yesterday, settling at $3.71 ¼, and the December contract was ½ cent higher closing at $3.95 ¼. The May soybean contract closed 1 ¾ cent lower settling at $9.04, and the November contract was ¾ cent lower closing at $9.38 ¼. Corn and beans continue to struggle with the lack of Chinese trade news and growing concerns that the flooding will move corn acres to beans. President Trump and the President of Brazil met and have agreed to work towards removing barriers on several ag products, including tariff-free wheat into Brazil. The Feds conclude their meeting today, and the general belief is they will leave interest rates unchanged, and U.S. trade negotiators are expected to go to Beijing next week to continue discussions.

Ventures: Ladies in Ag Event is going on this weekend. Still, time to register, and walk-ins are welcome. Hope to see you there!
