Corn 96770 Pixels Free To Use

Opening Calls:

Corn 1 to 2 lower

Beans 3 to 5 higher

Currently, we are seeing the U.S. dollar at about a three month low. Also seeing crude oil lower. Yesterday, grains felt pressure from very little export sales, but late in the day China “bought” 2 cargoes of U.S. beans.

Trade looking toward tomorrow’s WASDE report and what the USDA will do with ending stocks. We expect that the USDA should have the final 2019 numbers for North Dakota.

The 7 to 10 day forecast is calling for cooler wetter weather, though some areas of the Midwest are hoping to miss some of the rains as they are trying to get ground replanted.

This morning, we heard about two men in Illinois trapped in a grain bin yesterday. They made it out and are safe today, but this serves as a reminder to all of us about bin safety. There are many sources of information available on the web regarding bin safety. The safest place is always outside of the bin. Please be mindful of the risks before ever entering a grain bin.

What is your marketing plan going forward? Do you have enough new and old crop grain sold?

If not, please call your nearest Landus location to visit about our marketing plans and opportunities for June deliveries.
