Morning Comments July 18, 2019

July Soybeans close up 1

Opening calls:

Corn 5-7 lower

Beans 3-4 lower

Grains are trading lower this morning due to the much needed rainfalls throughout the corn belt over these next few days. There is still hot and dry weather projected for this weekend, however, after that it is forecasted that we will see cooler and more favorable weather for pollination. Weak export numbers are also a bearish factor for both corn and soybeans as the U.S. has the most expensive corn in the world, and China will likely be rolling their old crop purchases into new crop purchases.

If you are looking for a way to recapture some of the losses taken out of the market this week, a Bonus Premium contract is a great option to add 10-15 cents back onto your cash price. Call your Grain Marketing Advisor today if you’re interested or have any questions.
