Morning Comments February 6, 2019

Opening calls:

Corn:  2 cents lower

Beans:  penny lower

Good morning!

Grains trading slightly lower this morning with a quiet session yesterday. USDA did report a sale of 2.6MMT of U.S. soybeans to China yesterday. Traders still waiting for USDA report data this Friday. Last night’s State of the Union speech by Trump gave little insight as to how his administration plans to reconcile with China, but plans are still in place for U.S. trade reps to meet with counterparts in Beijing later in the month. Brazil bean harvest continues to progress rapidly with no hiccups.

Light news again- but really not much happening in the marketspace until Friday!
