Opening Calls:
Corn steady to slightly lower
Soybeans down 2 to 3
Good Morning!
Yesterday was a mixed day for grain as corn ended down 16 and soybeans ended up 9 3/4. The corn market traded lower as trade continued to factor in the USDA’s numbers. Demand problems have also been discussed for a while now for the corn market, but now that supply is supposedly not as big of a concern, there may be a time period of consolidation. Soybeans traded higher yesterday as most think it will be unlikely for the yield to be attainable, especially with concerns of an early frost.
A reminder that Price Later contracts will need to be rolled before 1 pm on Friday, or they will be priced out at the current market price.
