Good morning! This morning grain is trading higher with corn up 2 and soybeans up 4-5.
Yesterday the corn market was able to find some stable ground, closing 1 ¾ higher. Rain in the forecast, while the corn progresses, has created limited gains. Export sales have also been very minimal with old crop sales totaling 22.2 mil bu compared to 82.6 mil bu last year. The Pro Farmer tour will kick off next week. It will be interesting to see what participants find and if it will have any push on the market. Yesterday soybeans closed 7 ½ lower due to rains moving across the Midwest during a critical stage for the soybean plant and a less than ideal soybean export report.
A final reminder that all price later contracts need to be rolled with signed contracts by 1pm today or they will be priced out at the current market price.
