Landus Cooperative Gives Back to County Fair Boards

24 county fair boards receive a Core Grant from Landus Cooperative

AMES, Iowa (May 14, 2019) – Twenty-four county fair boards across Iowa were recently awarded nearly $17,000 in grants from Landus Cooperative in partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation.

“Landus Cooperative is proud to support organizations who focus on rural youth development and agricultural advancement,” said Milan Kucerak, CEO of Landus Cooperative. “We are pleased to partner with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation to provide an impactful grant for the county fair boards.”

The farmer-owned cooperative announced the Core Grant program at the beginning of last year as part of a quarterly philanthropy focus. This year nearly 90% of the fair boards in Landus Cooperative’s business territory participated in this program.

“We value the commitment of county fair board members who take the time to plan a safe, fun, and educational fair experience for our employees, farmer-members, and community members,” said Alyssa Hemesath, communications specialist who oversees the donation process at Landus Cooperative.
