Morning Comments November 4, 2016

Corn and beans are both trading slightly lower this morning on very little news. We can expect some volatility over the next week with the presidential election on Tuesday and from the WASDE report to be released on Wednesday. Informa released and updated yield estimates yesterday. Corn was estimated at 174 bushel to the acre, which is above last month’s USDA estimate of 173.4. Beans are estimated at 52.4 bushel per acre, which is 1 bushel more than last month’s USDA report. For the morning trade the dollar is slightly lower and crude oil trading 92 cents lower at $43.74.
