Morning Comments November 13, 2017

Opening Calls:

Corn -1 to 2

Beans -3 to 4

Good morning!

Grains lower this morning with corn down a penny and beans 3 to 4 lower. The market is still figuring out a direction after the USDA report last week. Biggest thing to remember is the corn saw a +3.6 bushel/acre yield increase. Now standing at 175.4 bpa, we’ve set a new record for the highest yield in U.S. history. In turn this increased our total production and estimated carryout. Big crops only get bigger!

Crude oil and the U.S. dollar are both slightly higher this morning.

Harvest seems to be getting wrapped up for a lot of folks. Please check with us about all of your alternatives for your corn and soybeans.

This heavy fog has already caused issues for a lot of drivers, please be safe out there.
