Morning Comments February 8, 2019

Opening calls:

Corn:  2 cents higher

Beans:  2 cents higher

Good morning!

Grains trading slightly higher this morning after a rough day yesterday due to trader positioning ahead of today’s USDA report. Again, market estimates are lower production for the U.S. 2018 crop, but our ending stocks are still very high. Especially considering the bean export situation we’ve faced. In this report we will also see South American stocks as well. The soybean market faces many uncertainties regarding the future of trade with China as well as the stocks issue. After the report we will be releasing a summary of the values, stay tuned!

Still time to get some offers in before 11 am. Consider sticking some in for old crop, new crop, corn, beans. You never know what will happen! If you have outstanding basis contracts to price, we work futures offers as well.
