Morning Comments December 20, 2016

Good morning!

Grains are lower this morning with corn down a penny and beans down another 9 cents.  Traders are keeping a close eye on South American weather, as well as the long-term direction of crude oil and US dollar movement.  Our strong dollar isn’t helping commodities right now.  Soybeans are moving lower as we see increased headlines about rain in South America- specifically in parts of Argentina where it’s much needed.  Demand continues to remain strong, but we need to keep an eye on Chinese demand.  Here in the next month is when we historically see China cancel some of their imports from the US.

Light news this morning.  I am in Templeton today, contact me at 712-250-0344 to chat about markets.  Have a great day!
